To all that are interested in holding a USBA Tournament or a USBA TOUR event:
There are two main types of USBA Tournaments: a regular USBA-sanctioned Tournament and a USBA TOUR Event. If you wish to hold a regular USBA-sanctioned tournament, then simply contact the Secretary at JimShovak@USBA.net or 516-238-6193. There is no limit to the number of regular sanctioned tournaments you can hold as long as the Secretary approves the scheduling. The minimum number of tables required to hold a regular USBA-sanctioned tournament is just 1. The chart below shows the benefits of holding a regular sanctioned tournament if you, the room owner, will add anywhere from $100 to $400 to the prize fund. If you wish to hold a regular USBA-sanctioned tournament but do not wish to add any money to the prize fund, then you can purchase cloth from the USBA at a subsidized rate of $245/cloth and Aramith balls at $90/set.
These packages will only remain available if the USBA has enough sponsorship money to cover them. The USBA reserves the right to cancel an event at any time and for any reason in its sole and absolute discretion.

USBA TOUR EVENTS
Minimum number of tables required to hold a USBA TOUR Event is 2.
With the assistance of many, we have come up with a system for allowing room owners to hold a USBA Tour Event in their room. These events will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If you wish to hold one of these events, please contact the Secretary ASAP at 516-238-6193 or JimShovak@USBA.net
We have come up with charts which explain what you will receive based on the amount of money that you are willing to add to the prize fund.
"B" and "C" TOUR Events:
The next chart below is for B and C TOUR Events or a combination B/C TOUR Event. A "B" player is someone who averages between .500 and .799. A "C" player averages below .500.
If you wish to add $500 to one of these TOUR Events, then the USBA Sponsors will add an additional $550, bringing the total added money for the event to $1050. If you wish to purchase brand-new Simonis 300 rapide cloth for the event, then the USBA sponsors will provide the cloth to you at subsidized rates as per the chart as well as for Super Aramith Pro-Cup carom ball sets. Also, if you want to have nice trophies for the event, the 3 trophies cost $160 without shipping, but we will subsidize them to you for $95 including shipping. If you wish add $1000 then the sponsors will add $1100, bringing the total added money for the event to $2200 and the cloth and ball subsidies get a little better. If you wish add $1500 then the sponsors will add $1650, bringing the total added money for the event to $3150 and the cloth and ball subsidies get even better. You can only receive the subsidized rate on cloth for up to the amount of 3-cushion tables in your room and for balls, only up to twice the amount of 3-cushion tables in your room. Any cloth and/or balls purchased must be used for the event. These packages will only remain available if the USBA has enough sponsorship money to cover them. The USBA reserves the right to cancel an event at any time and for any reason in its sole and absolute discretion.

"A" or "Open" TOUR Events:
The next chart below is for A or "Open" TOUR Events. An "A" player is someone who averages .800 or greater. An "Open" event simply means that anyone can play regardless of their abilities. We also have a chart for A or Open TOUR Events. If you wish to add $1000 to one of these TOUR Events, then the USBA Sponsors will add an additional $1100, bringing the total added money for the event to $2100. If you wish add $2000 then the sponsors will add $2200, bringing the total added money for the event to $4200 and the cloth and ball subsidies get a little better. If you wish add $3000 then the sponsors will add $3300, bringing the total added money for the event to $6300 and the cloth and ball subsidies get even better.
